Meghan Bogutz – Humanities Teacher

Meghan’s diverse professional and personal background has allowed her to thrive at the Academy at Trails Carolina as an educator. While born and raised in the Midwest, Meghan has lived and traveled all over the world. Through her travels, she developed a great interest in world history and diverse cultures. Meghan earned a Bachelors of Science in Education from Green Mountain College of Vermont. For the past four years, Meghan has divided her time teaching in public school and working with adolescents and young adults in a wilderness program in the northeast. Meghan is thrilled to be able to combine her love of the outdoors with her passion for education through her work at the Academy. Meghan is able to recognize each student’s individual needs and create a learning environment which allows the students to thrive and achieve success. Through hands-on and project-based learning, Meghan strives to make learning about history, political science, and international relations exciting and engaging for Academy students. When she is not in the classroom, Meghan can be found outdoors, she is an avid runner and soccer player. She enjoys mountain biking, backpacking or climbing.
