Dana moved to Western North Carolina in 2006 from Athens, Ohio where she graduated with a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences in Anthropology from The Ohio University. Dana spent 4 years working as a Wilderness Field Instructor for a nearby program and another 2 years as a Logistics Coordinator and member of the crisis management team. In total, Dana has worked in direct care or support roles for nearly 9 years She cites these experiences as the largest influence in her character development as an adult. Dana believes in the power of nature and experiential education as a conduit for inspiration and lasting change. In her free time, Dana enjoys traveling, painting, boating, hiking, being outside and spending time with the people she cares about.
